Donna Buckles Great points! I think you’re right about teaching the public respectful engagement. The fact that we had to make the ice fish for the next group, and we could only take fish that other people had already prepared. The symbolism is very much navigating the path of how Barangaroo and other fisherwomen approached sustainable fishing. Thanks so much for your comment!

There is something very satisfying to me about the idea of taking part in a symbolic activity at a historical site rather than just standing there passively staring and being lectured. I wonder if it also encourages people to engage more respectfully with the history.
